International Space University is more than a school.
Since 1987, International Space University (ISU) has provided high-quality training and education for the next generation of space professionals, industry and agency leaders, and entrepreneurial visionaries.
Our alumni network includes more than 6,000 individuals working in diverse capacities to shape the space ecosystem across over 110 countries.
We promote international, innovative, intercultural, and interdisciplinary cooperation to ensure the peaceful use of outer space—for the benefit of humanity and for a sustainable future on this planet and beyond.
With our central campus located in the “Capital of Europe” in Strasbourg, France and programs held all over the world, life at ISU never stops.
Don’t miss your chance to launch your career in the space sector.
Today, 17 July 2026, ISU France ceases all activities. This is a day none of us wanted, and none of us will forget.
There are no adequate words for what this moment demands. So we will simply say what is true: ISU France gave everything it had, to the very end. So did the people who built it, ran it, and believed in it.
We tried everything we could. We are proud of how we tried.
To our students, scholars, sponsors, and partners affected by the cancellation of our programmes: we are deeply sorry. The funds you entrusted to us were protected and never spent. We fought to return them to you directly. We were not able to.
To our staff and faculty: what you gave to this institution cannot be measured and cannot be repaid. The end of ISU France did not happen because of you. It happened in spite of you. Leave today with your head held high.
To our alumni and the global ISU community: this moment is surreal. We will not feel its full weight all at once. We are experiencing a loss — a real one — and it deserves to be named as such.
And yet we remain optimistic. We know that space education has a future in Strasbourg, ISU’s natural European home. We know that the mission endures. We do not know what form the next chapter will take, but we know it will need the dedication, the expertise, and the savoir faire of those who made ISU France what it was.
We are deeply grateful above all to the Eurométropole de Strasbourg, which has been our home and our partner from the very first day. Without Strasbourg, there would have been no central campus. We are equally grateful to the European Space Agency and the space agencies of its member states, to NASA, JAXA, and space agencies worldwide, to the Centre National d’Études Spatiales, and to the French state. We are grateful too to the many corporations and private partners whose scholarships, internships, and sponsorships brought generations of students to ISU and connected them to the industry they went on to shape. The legacy of that partnership outlasts any single institution.
The world needs what ISU represents. That need does not disappear because one chapter has closed.
We will continue to cooperate fully with the legal process and follow every instruction of the court. That is what we owe to everyone affected.
