What a week it has been – a week of lectures, new experiences and field trips. This week you would have noticed that the Teaching Associates presented their respective departments and described the activities they were going to organize for their new recruits.
We were very happy to welcome some representatives of the Spanish space sector who presented the national industry, the current players and the future trends.
A huge shout out for Niamh Shaw who raised awareness among the participants on the role of art and how developing our creative potential can benefit space activities.
Participants have taken part in building Rube Goldberg Machines around specific themes. They learned how to work, succeed and fail together and they developed strong team-building capacities. Over the days, the progress they have made with their projects has been amazing to witness and they are a great group of wonderful people!
They also enjoyed some volley-ball and ping pong sessions to regain some energy and followed Spanish language classes to adapt to the life in Granada.
There have been so many entertaining activities over this last week – after a very animated culture night combining both Austrian and Australian cultures, the participants went to the Megalithic Park of Gorafe where they sat and enjoyed stargazing. They also followed attentively the Virgin Galactic launch before cheering their favorite team for the UEFA soccer game.
It has been a very fascinating and enjoyable week – with the program we are preparing for the participants, it will only get better!
