Dr Graziella Caprarelli FAIG (Fellow of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists) obtained her PhD in Earth Sciences from University ‘La Sapienza’ (Rome, Italy) and, after post-doctoral positions in Japan, had a long academic career as Visiting Lecturer at the University of Adelaide, Senior Lecturer at the University of Technology Sydney, and Associate Professor in Space Science at the University of South Australia.
Currently she is Director of Hypatia Scientifica, a private science consulting company based in Australia, that she founded in 2018.
She holds adjunct positions as Research Professor with the International Research School of Planetary Sciences (Italy), and as Research Fellow with the Centre for Astrophysics at the University of Southern Queensland (Australia).
She has been a NASA Fellow at the Johnson Space Centre in Houston, and is currently member of the MARSIS science team. She was the Co-Director of the 2017 Southern Hemisphere Space Studies Program.
