The International Space University (ISU) and SpaceBase, a company co-founded by ISU alumni Emeline Paat-Dahlstrom (SSP89) and Eric Dahlstrom (SSP91), have joined forces to launch the first ISU Executive Space Course for the Asia Pacific Region – Online. The program will be held between 17-21 May 2021. It will be hosted from New Zealand and operate on China Standard Time.
Participants will be welcomed by the head of the New Zealand Space Agency, Mr Peter Crabtree. They will learn, during this one-week course, about the breadth and depth of the space sector, from expert lecturers from over 12 countries. Speakers from academia, industry and governmental organizations will bring a special focus on the Asia-Pacific region with a true ISU interdisciplinary perspective.
From space policy and law, to propulsion and space mission design, participants will learn about the life cycle of satellites and collaborate on workshops about cubesat design and space business. Interact with panel speakers on space activities in the Asia Pacific to virtually meet space entrepreneurs and investors in the region. Discuss current topics on space tourism and the new space markets while networking with fellow participants from different backgrounds and disciplines.
Executive space course participants are welcome from all disciplines and backgrounds. The professional and personal connections they make during the program will continue to deliver networking benefits long after the program is over. The ISU global community reaches over 110 countries across six continents and will be an important network as the participant progresses in his/her own space career.
