The International Space University staff, faculty and members of the Board are deeply saddened by the sudden loss of Mr. Martin Hébert, who has represented the Canadian Space Agency on the Board of Trustees since 2017.
As a very engaged member of the Board, Mr. Hébert took part in important decisions, the most recent one being the launch of ISU’s Interactive Space Program decided last April. He was also actively preparing the next multi-year cooperation framework between the Canadian Space Agency and ISU that should help promising Canadian students and space professionals attend ISU education and training programs.
Chairman of the Board Dr. Christian Sallaberger said “Martin was a respected leader in the space community, both in Canada and internationally. As well as being a gentleman, he was a good friend to ISU and will be greatly missed by us all.”
