SUMMARY:Advanced Research Workshop: The Evolution of Space for Security and Prosperity
DESCRIPTION:🚀 Space security is an important\, unique\, and emerging domain that challenges our understanding of what and who can be secured. \nIt refers to the secure\, peaceful\, and sustainable access to\, and use of space — as well as freedom from space-based threats. 🛰️ \nOver the past two decades\, non-state actors such as universities and the commercial sector have played an increasingly large role in driving innovation.💡🌍 \nTo foster discussion and cooperation\, the International Space University (ISU) will host a 3-day Advanced Research Workshop: \n📌 “The Evolution of Space for Security and Prosperity: Risks\, Defence\, and Cooperation”\n📍 ISU Central Campus\, Strasbourg\, France\n📅 April 23–25\, 2025\n🤝 Supported by the NATO Science for Peace and Security Programme \nThis event will unite experts from the space industry\, academia\, and NATO Nations and Partners to address the pressing topics of peace and space security. \nThe workshop is designed to provide an interdisciplinary and international platform to discuss NATO’s approach to space in light of the domain’s rapid evolution. 🌌
