Dr. Jan Walter Schroeder

Walter’s background is Medical Informatics (Heidelberg University).

He wrote his thesis in Taipei/Taiwan.

Walter holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering (UK) and is an alumnus of the CVA Summer School 2007 and the ISU SSP 2010.

He previously worked at SAP AG in Customer Relationship Management (Germany), Roche Diagnostics in Quality Management (Switzerland), CTAE as a Life Support Systems Engineer in Human Spaceflights (Barcelona), the CVA in Communications (Paris) and as a lecturer at universities and on cruise ships (MSC).

Walter is the managing director of CisLunar Industries S.A., a new space company established in Luxembourg and USA who aims to recycle space debris. He is also the CEO of Sensovo GmbH, a ESA funded and angel-backed startup company developing a tactile navigation belt that guides its user via vibration.

Walter likes exploring new cultures and enjoys paragliding, diving and motorbiking. His interests are in futurism and models to support self-development. He is a father of two boys, 4 and 1 year old.
