After more than 26 years of service to the International Space University, time has come for Cécile Paradon to enjoy a well-deserved retirement. We would like to extend our warmest thanks to Cécile who, in 1995, contributed to setting up the ISU Central Campus in Strasbourg, notably by creating the Student Affairs and Human Resources departments.

The first professors and the early students of the ISU Master’s program will remember Cécile picking them up at the airport or the train station, and her calling her husband for help with a larger vehicle when the luggage would not fit in Cécile’s small Austin Mini.

Despite her entitlement to retirement in 2017, Cécile kindly continued to provide her expertise in Human Resource management for another four years.  Countless ISU students, staff and visiting professors have benefitted from Cécile’s help in obtaining the necessary administrative permits, work contracts, advice when dealing with local administrations and, above all, the human warmth and care that are part of her personality.

We thank Cécile for her service during all these years and wish her a happy retirement. We look forward to her regular visits to ISU, as a guest, for many years to come.
