ISU MSS14 & SSP13 Leo Teeney also in Forbes!

For the second time this month, ISU is pleased to congratulate an ISU alumnus on his selection by US business magazine Forbes for its 30 under 30 list.

After Jeroen Cappaert (MSS12), it is the turn of Leo Teeney (MSS14 and SSP13) who has been named in the Forbes Europe 30 under 30 Industry list.

Until recently, Leo was working as Research Engineer at the European Astronaut Centre (EAC) in Cologne through the Young Graduate Trainee Program. At EAC his focus was on future mission architecture and design, human space exploration technologies (ISRU, energy storage, habitation) modelling and simulation.

Leo came to ISU from Manchester University having graduated in MEng in Aerospace Engineering with a final year ‘Top Student Award’ in 2013. He first joined the Space Studies Program (SSP), taking an active part in the team project “Solarmax”. He then continued his studies at ISU by taking the Master of Space Studies (MSS). He did his ISU internship at Tohoku University in Japan working in the Google X-Prize team developing the pre-flight model of the team Hakuto Lunar exploration rover.

Needless to say, Leo is very pleased of his achievement and comments:

“My experience at ISU has been a key part of my journey so far and I wouldn’t have got this without it…  I hope I can go even further”.

We are sure he will.
