ISU MSS16 at Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales Business Game
Two Master of Space Studies (MSS16) students from the International Space University (ISU), Gagan Agrawal from India and Paul Wohrer a French national, recently took part in the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC Paris) Business Game (HBG) in Paris.
HEC Paris organized on 29-30th April 2016 the second edition of its real-life case competition, the HEC Business Game, with around 150 participants selected from a large sample of applicants from all around the world. Aspiring to bridge the gap between theory in the classroom and companies' reality by confronting students with living business questions and creating a dramatized business environment around them.
After their selection, Gagan and Paul participated in four challenges created by international corporations such as Gameloft, Google, Baker & Mc Kenzie and Bouygues.
They ranked second for the Bouygues challenge with an idea of 3D printed houses coupled with a geographical information system (GIS system), to improve infrastructure development in Western Africa. This proves once again that space technologies are an invaluable asset to solve today’s most pressing world problems.
The team also ranked among the 10 best teams for the Gameloft challenge.
After a successful collaboration with HEC Montreal during ISU’s Space Studies Program (SSP14), we trust this new success will be the starting point of a long relationship with HEC Paris!
