ISU is pleased to welcome Dr. Volker Damann

The International Space University (ISU) is very pleased to welcome its newest central campus faculty member, Dr Volker Damann, who is on a secondment from the European Space Agency (ESA).

Until recently Head of the Space Medicine Office at the ESA’s European Astronaut Centre, Dr Damann will be contributing his very significant expertise to ISU’s MSc in Space Studies (MSS).

Talking about the MSS he says, “The breadth of the academic program is a very valuable baseline prior to entering the professional space sector. In hindsight, I wish I had received such an education, before the trial and error of learning it the hard way.”

Dr Damann was also very pleased to discover ISU’s music practice room and added, “Since music is close to my heart, I am particularly happy of being able to practice my saxophone-hobby and I think yesterday’s jam-session with some students was an excellent start to my time at ISU!”
