First Executive Space Course of ISU in North America started this week
After the success of the Executive Space Course (ESC) held at the central campus of the International Space University (ISU) in Strasbourg, it was felt that having a similar course in North America would attract another number of participants.
The course was initiated by two alumni, Erika Wagner SSP01 and Ofer Lapid SSP08 at the Museum of Flight in Seattle.
The one week course started on 3 October 2016 with local lecturers and lecturers from ISU and extended ISU faculty, in line with the proven ESC model, and adapted to the local (New Space) environment.
There are 15 participants from a variety of different US Aerospace Companies and Universities including Blue Origin, Vulcan Aerospace, Virgin Galactic and more US companies.
In the first evening there was a welcome reception in the Charles Simonyi Space Hall where the participants had the opportunity to try the Shuttle simulator and network with Local Organizing Committee members and lecturers.
An exciting week is planned, including a tour of Spaceflight Industries in addition to a number of interesting lectures and guests.
