This year ISU will celebrate its 20th promotion of the Master in Space Studies (MSS) classes. At the same time the NASA selection for new astronauts has been announced.
One of the astronauts receiving flight status, after being preselected by NASA in 2013, is Dr. Jessica Meir.
Jessica U. Meir, Ph.D. ,is from Caribou, Maine (USA). She is a graduate of Brown University and earned her doctorate from Scripps Institution of Oceanography. She currently is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesia at Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston.
However, it is also important to point out that Jessica was an MSS graduate in the class of 2000 here at ISU in Strasbourg with outstanding marks.
In interviews she stresses this part of her international and intercultural experience very highly.
