The International Space University (ISU) in Strasbourg is world-renowned as a unique institution providing graduate-level training to future leaders of the global space community.
Thanks to its interdisciplinary and intercultural approach, the quality of ISU's alumni is recognized throughout the space sector where they are widely sought for a variety of roles.
Beyond this de facto recognition by the space community, ISU is also pursuing formal international professional recognition as an Institute and is very pleased to announce that a further step in this direction has been achieved through its election to membership of EURASHE, the European Association of Institutions in Higher Education, from 1 July 2015.
EURASHE is an organisation for entities that offer professionally orientated programs and are engaged in applied and profession-related research within the European Bologna framework.
Members of EURASHE are national associations of higher education institutions and individual institutions, such as universities, (university) colleges and universities of applied sciences, as well as other professional associations and stakeholder organizations active in the field of higher education.
This achievement is an important one for ISU and links synergistically to the university's ongoing accreditation process as mandated by its Board of Trustees. ISU President Walter Peeters said "We are pleased and honored by this recognition and anticipate working with our new EURASHE colleagues to further strengthen ISU as we go forward."
