NASA Kicks Off ISU’s 2009 Space Studies Program (SSP09) |
 MOFFETT FIELD, Calif. - NASA Ames Research Center, Moffett Field, Calif., will welcome more than 500 guests, including an international cadre of students and faculty from nearly 40 countries for the International Space University and Singularity University Opening Ceremony on June 29, 2009. The ceremony will be held in the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts and will feature a multimedia celebration of space.

The Opening Ceremony of the International Space University 2009 Space Studies Program and the inaugural Graduate Studies Program of the newly-launched Singularity University will be webcast live at from 6 pm - 7:30 pm Pacific Daylight Time (USA) on Monday, 29 June 2009 at

Intended to provide in depth understanding of business in the context of the special challenges of the space sector and similar fields, this MBA will attract students from broad cross-section of the specialties on which successfull space missions and activities depend. Thus, although the first module will provide material on specific business topics, it is also designed to provide technical knowledge to allow participants with nontechnical backgrounds (e.g., law, economics, social sciences) to follow the entire program successfully.
